1878 CASED SET 4 LARGE HEAVY ENGLISH ANTIQUE 1878 STERLING SILVER SERVING SPOONS
Description A superb matching set of 4 large-sized heavy English antique 19th Century Victorian solid sterling silver berry/serving spoons by the silversmith Charles Boyton - (1855 - 1900) in excellent condition and with full English silver hallmarks for London 1878.
Beautiful quality genuine 142-year-old sterling silver set; a handsome 8.4 inch size, nice big serving spoons each decorated with embossed flowers and birds in the Aesthetic style and with attractive geometric engraved bowl edges and handles. There are no added personal engraved monograms or crests and they are still housed in their original velvet-lined burgundy leather case. They weigh a heavy approx 217 grams and are ready for use. A stunning set.
Measurements Each spoon measures approx 8.4 inches (213mm) in length; the actual bowls measure 2.95 inches (72mm) x 1.75 inches (43mm)

Condition Excellent condition with no splits or repairs, definitely no wear holes and no knocks or dents, a beautiful large sized set, honestly look hardly used. Superbly all-over decorated and with a good heavy silver weight. There are no added personal engraved inscriptions. Still housed in their original burgundy leather bound fitted box, has a small wood chip to the edge rim and is lacking the lid catch, but so nice to still have their original case. A handsome usable size, ready to be used. Totally fresh to the market.
