Description - Splendid early 18th century George I pair of good gauge solid silver rattail Hanoverian pattern tablespoons
 
The terminals of each were engraved underneath with a roaring lion crest.
 
Both are fully hallmarked with the leopard's head for London and dated with the letter "F" for the year 1721 and the maker's mark "HC" for the 1720 mark for Henry Clarke I.
 
The lion passant on an item of silver guarantees that the silver is at least 92.5% pure, which is the sterling standard from 1721
 
Condition - In excellent condition with a good patina
